  • SATs are over

    Well done to all Year 6 pupils for their hard work and resilient attitude during the SAT’s week.  A big thank you to all the staff and parents support. It was clear all the pupils were well prepared and did their very best. We couldn't ask for more.

     

     

  • Be Sun Safe!

    11th May 2018

    Summer is fast approaching which will hopefully bring warmer  weather. Please ensure that your child has      adequate sun care e.g. a hat and sun cream, and also has a bottle of  water. Re-usable water bottles are available to  buy for £1 from the school office.

    Polite Reminder

    Summer school uniform requires that all shirts and polo necks have collars and children must wear socks and    appropriate foot wear.

     

     

     

  • SAT's breakfast

    11th May 2018

    Don’t forget next week we will be holding a SAT’s breakfast club for all Year 6 pupils at 8am Monday to Thursday. We are expecting 100% attendance from all pupils. Each morning there will be a cooked breakfast on offer and time with Mrs Morris and support staff  to help with any last minute worries or revision questions.

  • Forest School

    In Forest school pupils have been developing the allotment by planting a variety of fruit and vegetables which we plan to use in school. They have also been den building and have created a worm castle!

     

     

  • Boccia Competition

    20th April 2018

    On Monday 16th April pupils from Years 4 and 5 attended a Boccia tournament at Outward Academy Portland.

    All pupils had lots of fun and played to the best of their abilities. They also met a former Paralympic referee!

    Our team came 4th in their group. Well done to everyone who took part.

     

  • Welcome Back

    16th April 2018

    We hope you all had a lovely Spring Break and are ready for the term ahead. We have a busy term planned with Year 2 and Year 6 SAT’s and lots of exciting events to look forward to.

    We will now be offering Sugar Free orange or blackcurrant juice at lunch time  to all pupils who have school meals. Please see your child's class teacher if you do not want your child to have any.

    At the end of this term it is with great sadness that we will be saying goodbye and good luck to colleagues  who are leaving.

    I write at the end of another really successful term at Kingston Park Academy. This term has been very busy with educational visits and events.   • Easter Hat Parade

    16th March 2018

    All pupils design and make your own Easter bonnet/hat. This can be any hat; straw hat, cap, cowboy hat , woolly hat.

    Your creations will be shown in the parade on the 29th March 2018 at 8:40am in the yard where the winners will be chosen and prizes given at the Celebration Assembly.

  • Enterprise Workshops

    16th March 2018

    Parents/carers are invited to take part in a variety of craft workshops. The workshops will be run in classrooms 2.00pm—3.00pm and will  involve making things with the pupils to sell at the Easter Enterprise Fair. All resources will be provided

  • HOT Week - Here on Time

    To try and reduce the small number of children that are late in the morning, we will be having a ‘Here On Time’    focus week from Monday 19th March. Please can you encourage your child to be in their class, coats off, indoor shoes on and ready to learn no later than 8.50am. As a reward for everyone who arrives at school on time we will be giving them 5 extra reward points each day and for all children that arrive on time everyday, they will also receive an extra 25 points at the end of the week and a chanc

  • Parents Consultation

    9th March 2018

    Letters have been sent home for parents consultations that are   taking place on Tuesday 27th March 3:10pm to 6:30pm and Wednesday 28th March 3:10pm to 5:00pm for FS2 - Year 6.

    FS1 consultations will be taking place throughout the week from Monday 26th - Thursday 29th March between 11.50am and 12:20pm. If you have not already done so, please return the form to the class teacher. Thank you.

     

     

  • Mother's Day Lunch

    On Monday 12th March we will be inviting all Nursery - Year 6 mums, grandmas or female relatives into school to have lunch with the children to celebrate Mother’s Day. Please see the letter coming home with your child to order your meal. Due to space only one adult is invited to attend per family.

  • Bike donation

    We would like to ask any parents/carers if your child has outgrown their bike or recently had a new bike, if they would consider donating the unwanted bikes to our school. We are lucky to be able to offer bikeability training throughout the school but unfortunately not all children have suitable bikes to be able to take part.   • Year 6 Parent's SATs Meeting

    Year 6 SATs will take place between Monday 14th May and Thursday 17th May 2018. Year 6 parents are invited to a SATs meeting on Tuesday 6th February 2018 at 5.00pm. We will explain what SATs are and what will happen during SATs week. We will share what the tests may include and the types of questions the children will need to answer. We will also explain how we prepare your child in school and what you can do to help them at home.

  • SATs Boosters

    12th January 2018

    In order to support your child to achieve their best in this years SAT’s we are extending the school day on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday  to 3.45pm. We would like all Year 6 pupils to attend all sessions every week. To encourage them to attend we will be rewarding the children who have achieved 100% attendance at boosters after SAT’s week.

    The booster sessions will start Monday 15th January. Please make sure you have completed and returned your child's permission slip.

     

  • Bikeability

    12th January 2018

    We are delighted to be able to offer the Bikeability course in school again this year. Letters will be sent home shortly with full details and dates when your child’s class will be taking part.

    Foundation and KS1 children do not require their own bike but all children in KS2 who would like to take part will require their own bike and helmet. Please see the letter regarding the criteria your child's bike needs to meet to take part.
