Year 3 have had lots of fun find out about their new topics for this half term. In science we are look at plants, we have been looking at different types of plants and the characteristics of a plants. We have also been looking at why plants have roots and stems and why they are important to the survival of a plant. In geography we have been exploring the directions of a compass, maps and map symbols. The children have also been using the maps to find the differences between towns and cities. This Thursday we were all very excited for World Book Day and were impressed by the costumes and commitment from the children. We also enjoyed trying to guess which characters the other children had dressed up as.
