Thrive

The way we support children's mental health in school

Encouraging children to be aware of their mental health is very important to us. At times, even as parents, we can all feel like we need some extra support (whether it be a moment to ourselves, a friend to talk to or a shoulder to cry on).

Children need the same support we do! That’s why we are proud to be able to offer children weekly Thrive sessions in every class where the children discuss all things mental health and talk about things which might otherwise be difficult for them. We discuss all areas of wellbeing – mental, emotional and physical.

We are also lucky enough to be able to offer children our Base – a space where they can come and let off steam or have a friendly chat if they need to with our Mental Health Champion, Mrs Mitchell. The children thoroughly enjoy using this space each day.
