  • Carlton's Christmas Lights

    8th December 2017

    Congratulations to Aaron Sowerby and Tillie Cluderay who won the Big Local’s ’Design a Christmas Light’ competition. Their lights have now been made and if as you go through Carlton you will see their excellent Christmas designs lit up.

    The competition is on again this year and it is £1.00 to enter. There will be 3 lucky winners and 1 will be from  Kingston   Park Academy. If you would like to take part please collect a form from the school office. All entries must be returned to school by Friday 22nd Decemb

  • Andy and Lewis

    1st December 2017

    On Wednesday 20th December the children in our foundation unit have some exciting visitors coming in to school. Andy and Lewis will be putting on a special performance for them including comedy, magic and even some balloon modelling.


  • Visit to James Hince Court

    1st December 2017

    On Tuesday 12th and Thursday 14th December some of our pupils will be visiting James Hince Court Residential Care Home. Our choir will be singing some of the songs that they will be performing at the Young Voices concert in January and some of our foundation and KS1 pupils will be performing songs from their Christmas Nativity.


  • Get wrapped Up Warm

    1st December 2017

    As winter is now here and the cold weather has arrived, please can you ensure that you send your child to school with a jumper or cardigan and appropriate outdoor wear including a warm coat, gloves, hat and scarf so they can get wrapped up at break and lunchtimes. Please check that they have your child’s name in them.


  • Mission Christmas

    25th November 2017

    This year Kingston Park Academy will again be taking part in Hallam Fm’s Mission Christmas. People can donate a gift for a child from 0-18 years to be given to underprivileged children in our area who may otherwise not receive a gift at Christmas. If anyone would like to donate a gift it must be new and not wrapped and can be handed into the school office by 8th December. Thank you for your continued support.



  • Christmas Tree Festival

    24th November 2017

    On Monday 11th December at 10am our school choir will be singing at the Christmas tree    festival at Carlton Methodist church. Parents are invited to watch the performance. Please speak to Mrs Kerridge if you are available to walk with the children.



  • FS2 - Year 6 Pantomime Trip

    24th November 2017

    On Wednesday 13th December FS2—Year 6 pupils have the opportunity to attend the morning performance of Beauty and the Beast at The Cast Theatre in Doncaster. Great news for this year as The Big Lottery Fund scheme will be paying for all tickets, transport and have even purchased ice-creams for all the children.



  • Christmas Jumper Day

    We will be having a Christmas Jumper day on Friday 15th December with a suggested donation of £1. All       donations will go to Cash for Kids.



  • School Photographs

    School photographs have been sent home with your child this week. Please note the deadline for returning your orders to school is Thursday 30th November however you can place orders via the telephone or online.



  • Children In Need

    Thank you to everyone who  donated cakes and bought cake at our cake sale. We raised £283.23 for Children in Need. Thank you for your continued support.



  • Remembrance Day

    17th November 2017

    Well done to our Year 6 pupils for leading the Remembrance Day service last Friday. As part of their class assembly they showed off some of their work and read poems to demonstrate they recognised the importance of the day. We are very proud of the whole school for their behaviour throughout the service and for their great creative contributions to our giant poppy wall.

    Kingston Park Academy as part of the Delta Academies Trust, is where children make rapid progress. We understand how making a decision about where your child will attend school is not an easy task. A lot has to go into making that decision. Visit our lovely school and decide for yourself. School places are now available for Nursery and Reception for a September start.


  • Enterprise Fayre

    10th November 2017

    We are looking for any parents/carers who would be interested in being involved with this year’s Enterprise Event on Tuesday 12th December. If you would be available to assist us on the day, we would like to invite you along to a coffee morning on Thursday 16th November from 9.00am to 9.30am to discuss your ideas with me over a coffee and a mince pie.   • Odd Sock Day

    10th November 2017

    As part of Anti-bullying week on Wednesday 15th November we are  inviting children to come to school in odd socks. Parents and carers are invited in to school to work with their children on Wednesday morning. We will be filling in a jigsaw piece about our families then joining them all together to show that we are “all different, all equal” which is the key message for Anti-bullying week. If you would like to bring anything in to add to the jigsaw piece please do. It could be a photo of you, pictures of pet

  • Children In Need

    10th November 2017

    Next week we will be helping to raise money for Children in Need. On Friday 17th November we are asking for children to bring in cakes with a spotty theme which will be sold to the pupils at breaktime.  We will also be holding a raffle to win a homemade Pudsey cake which will be £1.00 for a strip of tickets.



  • Anti-Bullying Week

    3rd November 2017

    As part of anti-bullying week and to raise awareness, different activities will be carried out in each class and children will discuss and decide what the right thing is to do about bullying.



  • Year 5 visit to St John's Church Trail

    31st October 2017

    Our Year 5 children had a fantastic time last week at the Carlton Church trail. We received some lovely       comments from the organisers of the event who said the children behaved beautifully and were a real credit to Kingston Park  Academy.
