Year 2 2017

Miss Donovan - Year 2 Class Teacher

I’m Miss Donovan and this is my first year teaching at Kingston Park Academy. I’m excited for the year ahead teaching the lovely year 2 children. They show passion and enthusiasm in everything that they do!

Outside of school I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my family and friends.I have a dog called Franklin who I enjoy taking on long walks in the countryside.

'Towers, Tunnels and Turrets'

This term we will be finding out all about castles, tunnels and towers. We will be visiting a castle to investigate what it was like to live in a castle.

So get ready to invade the castles mighty walls, as we head across the drawbridge, over the moat and up to the top of the castle. We will build our very own castles and test their strength in case of an attack.

Then we will dig deep down and explore the burrows and tunnels and those that live inside them.

What’s that sound we hear?  Is it little hooves going trip, trap, trip, trap over the rickety bridge?  Watch out for the angry troll underneath… He likes to gobble up little girls and boys!  We will need to make a bridge that is sturdy enough to take the weight and get us safely to the other side.

Class Rules/Other things parents may need to know

In year 2 we are kind and respectful towards others. We are clear communicators and good listeners. We show a love of learning and try our hardest in everything that we do…even when we find things tricky.
